If you are monitoring an Android device, capturing incoming instant messages works on rooted devices only. You need physical access to the device to install mSpy.

iOS devices

mSpy runs on jailbroken/non-jailbroken iOS devices. In the former case, you need physical access for installation. In the latter case, you need no access if you have iCloud credentials, but you get fewer monitoring features. Still, the access may become necessary if iCloud backup isn’t activated on the device.

Compatibility

Your device must be compatible to run mSpy software.

The purchase of mSpy must be preceded by the check of your computer’s compatibility. To enable mSpy’s installation, determine your Windows OS version (it must be Windows XP x32; Windows Vista x32, x64; Windows 7 x32, x64; Windows 8, 8.1; Windows 10). Get physical access & administrative rights (or password, if any) in order to install mSpy on a target desktop hitch-free.

It’s advisable to check your device’s compatibility before mSpy’s actual purchase. Determine your Mac OS version (it must be Mac OS 10.7 Lion, Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, OS X 10.9 Mavericks, OS X 10.10 Yosemite, OS X 10.11 El Capitan) to be able to install mSpy effortlessly. Be aware that successful installation of mSpy requires physical access to a target desktop & administrative rights (or password, if any).
