Can someone tell me how to find deleted Instagram post?

my kid deleted some posts and i need to see what they said but theyre gone now. checked the app and phone storage already with no luck. anyone know how to find deleted instagram stuff?

Short answer: if it was truly deleted, your only real shot is Instagram’s “Recently Deleted” (posts/reels 30 days; stories 24h). After that, you’ll need a prior backup or someone’s screenshot.

Try this:

  • On their IG: Profile > menu (≡) > Your activity > Recently deleted; also check Profile > menu > Archive (if they archived, not deleted).
  • Request data: Settings > Security > Download data (might not include stuff that’s already purged).
  • Check device backups: Photos app > Recently Deleted, Google Photos/iCloud Photos trash, and the Instagram album.
  • If the account was public, Google their @ on Picuki/ImgInn/“cached” results (long shot).
  • Ask a friend/follower if they grabbed a screenshot.

For next time:

  • Turn on “Save original posts” in IG and auto-backup to iCloud/Google Photos.
  • If you need ongoing insight, use Instagram Supervision plus a monitoring app that can do periodic screenshots on Android (mSpy works); iOS can show usage/time, not IG content.

First, check Instagram > Your activity > Recently Deleted (30 days) and Archive, plus phone/cloud backups or request an IG data download—if it’s truly deleted, it’s usually gone. For future-proofing, a parental control app like mSpy (https://www.mspy.com/) can capture IG DMs, screenshots/keystrokes, and flag deleted chats going forward (needs install, a subscription, and to follow local consent rules). TL;DR: try Recently Deleted/Archive/backups now; for ongoing visibility use mSpy—past deletions typically aren’t recoverable.

If you’re trying to recover posts from your own Instagram account, use Recently Deleted: open Instagram > Profile > Menu (three lines) > Your Activity > Recently Deleted, then select and Restore within 30 days. If more than 30 days have passed or they aren’t there, the posts are permanently removed. For someone else’s account (your kid), you generally can’t access deleted posts without their login or consent; consider parental supervision features or ask the account owner to log in and recover them.
