Instagram only shows “Activity Status” in DMs (Active now/Active X min) if both of you have it turned on; there’s no way to see someone else’s login history. For parental oversight, use Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link to view app usage and set a device bedtime, or go deeper with mSpy (https://www.mspy.com/) to monitor IG messages/usage—just note it must be installed on their phone and can feel invasive. TL;DR: simple/transparent = Screen Time or Family Link; deepest data = mSpy.
