Data theft is an all too common practice these days, from people trying to steal personal information to businesses trying to outdo each other by stealing company secrets, there is no end to the techniques they will use in order to secure the information they need.

Some companies will even go to the lengths of approaching employees of a rival company and tempt them with financial rewards if they can pass on sensitive information about their employers. Such is the problem that is facing companies across the world, more and more employers are now keeping tabs on all of their employees and their communications.

Larger businesses now offer their employees cell phones for conducting company business, however, these company cell phones are just the sort of thing that a dishonest employee might be using in order to pass on confidential company details to rival companies. In the past, it would have been almost impossible to keep tabs on an employee’s cell phone usage other than having an itemized bill detailing calls and text messages. However, there would have been no evidence that the calls or messages contained any sensitive company information. Thankfully, there is now a solution to this problem, and there is now a number of different cell phone spying programs available that will allow an employer to monitor all of their company cell phones.

Cell phone tracking software, will allow the employer to have complete access to all the data traffic to and from all of the cell phones that they have allowed their staff to use. Not only will it allow them to see what SMS messages they have sent and received, but it will also allow them to actually read each individual message. This can have great advantages for the employer, who will be able to gather the information required in order to take the necessary disciplinary steps, should there be a breach of confidentiality.

Another advantage to having this kind of software installed onto the phones that you allow your employees to use, is that you can also keep an eye on whether they may be using the company phone for personal usage. The spy app will allow you to monitor the kinds of websites and apps that are being used as well as allowing you to access any photos and videos that may have been sent or received.

Even though the law is quite clear on the installation of cell phone spying software, and it is in itself not illegal, you may want to inform your staff that their company phone usage is being monitored. That way, not only have you covered yourself legally, but you are also making sure that there is now a deterrent to using the phones for nefarious purposes.

Monitoring the cell phones that you give to your employee’s, means that you are safeguarding your companies best interests, as well as making sure that your employee’s are not using phones that your company is paying for, for personal usage.

Before smartphones made an appearance, the gadgets that were in great demands with teenagers across the world were games consoles, iPods and laptop computers. However, since the advent of smart phones there has been a shift in the attitude of teenagers and now smart phones are at the top of most children’s wants list.

The problem that many parents face when letting their son or daughter have a smart phone is that they do not know who they are talking to and what they are talking about. There has been a significant rise in cyber bullying in recent years as mobile phones have become more and more popular. Cyber bullying can have a dramatic and negative effect on the person who is the subject of ridicule and this can lead to a drop in the standard of their school work, and in some extreme cases it can even lead to suicide.

And it is not just cyber bullying that is a modern day problem as more and more teens are sending intimate messages and even pictures and videos of themselves to friends and even strangers. All of which can be a major worry to parents of teenagers and therefore parents need to make sure that their children are aware of the dangers of these actions.

If you feel that your warnings and advice have gone unheeded then there is a way in which you can monitor all of the traffic on your child’s phone without them even noticing. By installing what is known as phone spy software, you can keep an eye on all of the incoming and outgoing data from your child’s phone. Once downloaded, the software will keep a record of such things as text messages, phone calls received and made with the details of the time and duration of the call, as well as listing all of the numbers dialed. It will also give you access to photos and videos that have been taken, sent or received and you can even see where they have been with an accurate record of the phones GPS data.

Cell phone spy programs such as MSpy, will run quietly in the background of your child’s phone so they will be none the wiser about their phone activities being monitored.

After you have downloaded the program to the target phone, all you need to do is to log into your mSpy account via any computer, and you will have instant access to all of the target cell phones data. There you will be able to read their text messages, review their call data as well as check their location via their phones GPS signal. Even if they use a separate program for messaging, such as BlackBerry messenger, you will still be able to review all of the messages either sent or received.
Some people may think that this kind of cell phone monitoring is just plain old snooping, however, long gone are the days where sexual predators hang around on street corners looking for a victim and they are now more likely to use technology to get what they want. Installing cell phone spy software is a great way of making sure that your child is safe online.

Recent reports from Gartner, Android sold 144,20,300 units in the final quarter of 2012; however, the question is – does it really matter? Samsung are not particularly concerned about how many Android devices sell, they are only concerned about how many of their own Samsung devices are sold. Similarly, Amazon do not care how many Androids are sold, just how many help drive traffic to their website. The same can be said for Android developers, Google Play and a multitude of other people making money from the Android platform.

The total number of Android units sold is likely not even remotely accurate. It is not really appropriate to lump all Android sales together, all this does is make the platform seem stronger that it actually is. Android does not cover one single entity and so total unit sales do not really mean anything and now it looks like Google agrees with this stance!

A Change In The Calculations

In a recent Google report, it emerged that the total number of Android devices using Android 4.1 to 4.2 increased to 25% from 16%. However, this is not as impressive as it may initially seem because the massive increase is largely down to a change in how Google are calculating those all important numbers. In the past, devices were counted whenever they checked in to any of Google’s servers, but now only visits to Google Play will be counted. Google believes that this will help to establish more accurate data by using only users who are engaged with the Android/Google Play ecosystem rather than every Android activation.

Spotting The Obvious Mistake In The Numbers

However, there are some inconsistencies in Google’s new math process. The previous total numbers of Android activations have not been recalculated using the new system. That means that data regarding total Android activations is calculated based on the old system, while data regarding individual versions of Android uses the new process. This means that the two totals will never balance with each other. In other words, while we might know the size of the slice of Android’s pie each version of the operating system represents, we do not have a clear representation of the overall size of the complete pie itself.

Data Designed To Conceal The Truth

It is impossible to count ‘Android’ as one single entity. This has been likened to considering the entire continent of Europe as one single country! This means that when using numbers as a proxy for operating system strength we really need to be using meaningful numbers. For example, we should compare the number of units running the latest iOS version with the umber running the latest Android system. Or perhaps all of the separate Android entities should be treated differently. What is certain is that all Android sales should not be lumped together, because Android is not one unified platform. This type of data should reveal information about a platform’s strength, but all these inconsistent numbers do is conceal Android’s possible weaknesses.

Do you remember the old school public service announcement shown alongside the evening news broadcast which asked if you knew where your children were? These days parents concerns are more about who their children are texting than where they are largely down to the fact that today’s kids seem to be permanently attached to their smartphones and tablet devices. Kids have always been able to get into trouble, but advances in technology have opened up a whole new world of dangers that were never an issue before.

Threats Facing The Technology Savvy Generation

In days gone by, the school yard bully was the main concern parents had, but these days bullying is not confined to face to face confrontations. Instead, cyberbullying is the norm with bullies sending hurtful messages via text messages, emails or social networks. In some ways this is more concerning than traditional bullying as it is more difficult to catch. Parents, teachers and other adults may have no idea that it is happening.

Another risk facing today’s kids is the new trend known as sexting. This involves sending sexually explicit images and messages over text messages. What many teens fail to grasp is that this can actually be considered as child pornography if they are under the age of 18. In certain states, teenagers caught sending these photographs can actually be charged and registered as sex offenders. Parents are often totally unaware that their children are participating in these potentially illegal activities.

Something may teens never even consider the possibility that there could be a sexual predator targeting them online. Our kids are much more open to communicating with strangers thanks to social networking and chat facilities on the internet. Often they do not think twice about giving out their cellphone number or other personal information.

Tackling These Threats

Simply being aware of these threats is not enough, even if you have discussed them with your teen in detail. Teens are predisposed not to listen to their parents and they are likely to think they know better. This is where using tracking software to monitor their cell phone activity comes in. Some parents feel uneasy about giving this, but for most the ability to protect their kids trumps this. In the past, the phone and computer were placed in a family room allowing supervision of kids using them, but now that pretty much every kid has their own smartphone it is no longer possible.

Cellphone monitoring software is one of the best ways to find out what your teens are doing. The software is completely undetectable and your child will not know that it is on their phone. You will be able to view call logs, SMS, photos, GPS locations, web browsing history and more via a secure online account which can be accessed from your computer. It is even possible to block inappropriate content.

While it may feel like intruding on your child’s privacy, you will find that young teenagers will really benefit from your involvement. They may understand that messages they are receiving are inappropriate but be afraid to discuss them with you. Teens also feel they are invincible and make some pretty dumb choices, so being able to access messages will tip you off allowing you to act before the situation escalates. It may not be that your child is purposely being badly behaved, but rather they are not emotionally prepared to make smart decisions.

I really need it! Everyone has one!!”

How many of you have heard this from your children? How many of you have given in and bought them a mobile device that gives your kids, at the youngest ages, full access to the world – with all of its enticing things and hazards, with vulnerability to predators and cyber-bullies? Many of us feel helpless when we are pressurized by the kids’ demand for modern technology.

Increasing popularity of social media and its accent on connecting to others has changed the communication patterns. It isn’t something we can protect our kids from. But it’s our duty to be ever-vigilant to prevent a smartphone you’ve handed over to your children from turning into a real problem. Here are the basics every parent needs to know:

The Big Picture

At first you might be wondering: will they lose this $600 piece of electronics? Will they run into a huge phone bill? Will they communicate in inappropriate ways? Is your kid aware of what is acceptable and what is not?

Any smartphone can be a medium for kids to share inappropriate or obscene photos and messages. These devices can also be used as the platforms for harassing or bullying others. Some of the apps used most often include names such as Facebook, Skype, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Omegle.

Three general areas where kids can get themselves into trouble with their smartphones are sexting, cyber-bullying and meeting with dangerous people they connect with online.

Sexting Among Teens

Sexting is a relatively new phenomenon that has been around for the past couple of years. Thousands of cell phone tracking apps provide a platform for kids to share obscene multimedia content and texts. One of the most popular of these apps (especially among iPhone users) is SnapChat that target user of 13 -24 years of age. It appeals to its users with its illusion of security – teens think that their sexting would be absolutely safe since they can specify the recipients and the content they send is supposed to disappear instantly with no permanent record, which prevents parents from monitoring. However, they are greatly mistaken because the recipient can easily take a screenshot of the sent photos or video and share with others.

Cyber-bullying

Electronic platforms have brought bullying to a new level of destructiveness. These platforms are used by millions worldwide to share any kind of content including obscene messages and embarrassing photos or videos. Often, such photos and videos are shared by a victim with someone who later betrays them by sharing the embarrassing content with someone else, making fun of the sender.

Cyber-bullying is the method teens use to gang up on one another. It lets a bully to spread rumours about a victim, which results in the damage inflicted on a victim.

Predators’ Dream

Apart from cyber-bullying and texting, these platforms give predators an ideal place for haunting their prey. These criminals create fake profiles with misleading info to lure their prey to meet them. There are thousands of apps that can connect you with people who live a close proximity to your location, which increases the risk of teens meeting these new online friends.

Tips to Keeps Kids Safe

1.) Create basic rules of using a smartphone.

2.) Discuss with your kid the risks of sharing content via social media.

3.) Install cell phone tracking software on their smartphone and monitor their activities to ensure their safety.

We humans got used to thinking we can easily juggle two-four challenges simultaneously. We live in the age of multitasking, and the cutting edge technology significantly adds to this tendency. However, it’s vital to know that multitasking can be successful only if it involves two different stimuli, like visual and auditory. Two visual stimuli at once– NO!!! That’s probably why texting while driving causes so much crashes.

Millions of sms messages are sent by cell phone users while they are at the wheel, and a lot of them are teenagers who are even at a higher risk of crashes because they tend to think they are invincible. Deep down, most teenagers think nothing bad can happen to them, but they can go from a normal situation to heading into another cars or bumping into a tree within a second or two, far less than it takes to type ‘LOL’ on a text message.

Texting & Driving Statistics

According to the survey carried out by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration:

Distractions while driving account for about 80% of all crashes

Distractions while driving account for about 65% of all near crashes

According to the Pew Research Center:

4 out of 10 American teenagers are texting while behind the wheel

about 50% of all teens (12 to 17) have been passengers in the car with a driver who has texted while behind the wheel

More Scary Findings

At this point, nobody can argue the fact that texting and driving is dangerous. But the recent study by Cohen Children’s Medical Center has shown that teen texting and driving accounts for over 3,000 fatal accidents while teen drunk driving accounts for 2,700 fatalities.

The study has also revealed that laws against texting and driving doesn’t prevent teens from doing it — 57% of teens in states where it’s forbidden admit texting while driving compared to a 59% who admitted doing so in states where it’s permitted.

Solutions

It is our job as parents to prevent our teens from carelessly throwing caution to the wind by texting while driving. We should do our best to set a good example for our driving teens of what driver’s behavior should be viewed as acceptable and making them realize that texting while driving isn’t something they should be doing. Good driving behavior should be reinforced at all costs.

We should talk to them about teen car crashes and how to avoid them, about the need of wearing a seat belt, and about the hazards of driving while using a smartphone.

If you feel that your teen doesn’t always follow your advises, you can install the mobile tracking software like mSpy onto their smartphone and stay informed about their driving habits. (Find out what professionals think about mSpy after reviewing it at iGeeksBlog.com ) Simply check their GPS location, and if you find out that they are driving, check for any text messages sent from their smartphone. It’s nothing to be ashamed of – you just need to make sure your teen is safe at all times.

In this breathless world, most of the parents are extremely busy. So, even if it is discouraged by the psychologists, and most parents as well, still they find it a better option to keep their children busy and in front of their eyes with gadgets, especially the smart ones. Children also insist for such sources of entertainment. Studies and recent incidents show that, being socially secluded, or being engaged in online communities more than the real ones create immense psychological imbalance in children. So this is something to worry about!

The Palate for Violence

Violence is the “hot cake” for media; everything violent sells out the stuff in gigantic numbers. This unhealthy attention has entered into entertainment resources long ago. The ghost of violence and its presence is not at all invisible, in fact it is too evident and obvious these days, from news stories, to latest online games that everyone seems to be celebrating it! Since most of the online games are based on shoot-and-kill theme, whether it is cartoony pigs or undead zombies, all children from various ages learn is how to kill or smash something, as much brutally as possible. When the games are played online, there goes a competition among known and stranger player to beat someone’s level of violence. This developing palate for digital violence obviously reflects in real life, and that is the scary part!

The Way to Stop

Smart gadget like iPhone, Android devices and others should be used to increase the overall intellectual development of children. There will always be greedy vendors of violence and all the other objectionable materials. Any parents would like their children not to be glued with those games. The unfortunate part is, these personal devices make the children isolated and allow them to play such games right under the noses of their parents, without really letting them know. There is one easy and effective way for the parents to know if any such addiction is building within their child, and that is monitoring through phone spy software, like mSpy. Phone tracking software mSpy allows parents, without the knowledge of their children, to know what they are doing with their smart devices, including internet history and gaming data.

The Further Ado

Parents can encourage the children to play other interesting games that involve intellectual practice. Teachers at school can also include such games in lessons to encourage real life gaming community with classmates, not unknown people. Locking themselves within those screens of the devices have kept children these days away from the reality. No matter how busy life is, parents should take some time out to mingle with their children and others practically, so that they could know how nice it is to share ideas through real conversations. If that healthy social and communal connection is built with the help of family at first, the online social networking and other activities would also be healthy. It is a crucial issue, since the cases of mass shooting due to distorted and frustrated mental conditions are at the rise, in an alarming level!

It is becoming fairly common these days for businesses to have employees working from remote locations including home, hotel rooms, airport lounges and even on trains and coaches! This has been made possible thanks to the latest mobile devices such as tablets, smartphones and laptops all of which can now harness the same power as a desktop computer. Offices are fast being obsolete! Companies all over the world are discovering that virtual offices are the way forward in terms of reducing costs and boosting employee efficiency.

With all of the benefits, virtual offices bring it is easy to forget the disadvantages that come with the new ‘work anywhere‘ concept. The unfortunate consequence of a virtual office is that there is an increased risk of exposing business elated files to viruses, hacking attempts, and even theft when these files are accessed on mobile devices. Any attack on business data can be costly, not to mention disruptive to your work. This means that it is very important to protect against these attacks being focused on virtual offices.

There are plenty of steps which can be taken to improve security in relation to mobile devices. Here are five tips for making sure that your remote employees are protected when dealing with your business data.

1. Choose a great security software package – It is important to invest in a good quality security system that is designed especially for mobile devices. Smartphones and tablets are particularly vulnerable to viruses, malware, as it can not only be downloaded through emails, apps and web browsing, but it can also be transmitted wirelessly to these devices when they are connected to a public wifi connection.

2. Be sure to regularly update all software packages and applications – It is important to ensure that the devices used to access sensitive data are running the most current versions of the relevant software and operating systems. Employees should not be trusted to perform these updates, as they are likely to forget. Instead you should set all company owned devices to search for relevant updates automatically.

3. Encrypt your data and install data wiping capabilities on all company smartphones – All company owned smartphones should have software installed which will encrypt all data and which can either lock or wipe the smartphone on a remote command in the event of it being lost or stolen. This will ensure that sensitive data does not fall into the wrong hands if the phone is lost or stolen. Replacing the device may be necessary, but at least you know that the data is safe.

4. Create a secure storage site for your data – There are many services available which will allow you to create a secure backup in the cloud. This allows employees to work from anywhere while keeping the data secured.

5. Consider implementing cell phone tracking software – Not only can mobile phone monitoring offer services such as GPS locations and remote wipe commands which can be used when a phone is lost, but they will also allow you to monitor employees to see if they are adhering to security protocols, or if they are not actually working when they should be! No longer will the old saying ‘out of sight out of mind’ apply as you will know what they are up to at all times.

All this may sound expensive, but it is far more cost effective than you might think and losing your data could be more expensive if it ever happens. This is your business and there is no point in taking any chances with security if you are going to take advantage of virtual offices.

These might seem way too many questions to ask before landing the topic, but those who are in exactly the same situation, know how many of such dilemmatic questions are swirling inside their head right now!

Well, if this is your situation, there is something that you can do to work both sides out, perfectly.

The smart gadgets that your kids received from you after a lot of nagging and like most parents, you hate those; now can be the boon for you. The technology has reached benchmarks and there is phone tracking software which really can help a parent spy on what their kids are doing with their phones. Confused? Well, there is nothing to be worried about. A parent can let their children know that they are going to be supervised through phone, or just can skip that, because, they will never have an idea! Phone spying app like mSpy can be installed in several minutes and keep the parents updated with every move made through the target phone, without letting the kids know! Secret service of parenting, served!

With all these information, the second task of phone tracking app is done; parents can know what their children are like, and can deal and connect with them keeping that in mind! It is supervising with renewing the bond in disguise.

The Best Summer for all

With the help of such cell phone tracker, summer can be one memorable one for both the parents and the growing up children. The faith the parents put on them by leaving them all on their own, makes them feel responsible and dependable. This builds personality and gives their confidence a boost. Moreover, parents can also tell them that they will be supervised, if they feel it to be the best, otherwise, keeping the phone tracking a secret can also be a wise move. It depends on how their relationship is with the children. No matter how that is, the days of missing out life for the sake of children are over now for parents, now they can also get a treat for themselves or any other reasons they might have, without being freaked out about their children at home. Supervision is always on, in today’s world!

What is the one thing that Americans use most and are in love with, too? The answer could have been cars decades ago, but now it is the smartphones. They use it for almost everything and they love every bit of it. It all started with the announcement of the first smartphone iPhone. Steve Jobs not only unveiled a revolution, but also gave Americans their heartthrobs! Later on, the Androids and other smart operating systems came along only to raise the bar for the smart phone lovers and increase their number as well.

The Way to Lead the Love

From newly teenagers to even 70 year old experienced fellows to even the 8-10 year olds, smart phones are something that every American home has in common, which makes them one of the largest numbers of users in the world. For the last couple of years, the number is only rising, almost hitting the roof! The embrace and expansion of smart phones in America is particularly remarkable, since the road was not that smooth for this latest technology in the other parts of the world. While most other countries have a mixed ratio of users between smart phones and the previous kind, America has the most phone users as the smart phone users, indeed. Americans surely love their smart phones!

The Life Integrated

There have been hundreds of recent researches held for the past couple of years showing that, people in America are being more and more accustomed in doing most of their tasks through their smart phones, including taking photos, videos and sharing those in different social medias, connecting socially or even professionally, like preparing presentations and attending meeting through apps, storing documents, music and what not. There are millions of apps available for smart phones and thousands of uses for them!

Initially, the smart phones, or the symbian phones focused on only office helper, gaming and music related apps, which later on extended to literally everything:

Teaching children through interactive games,

Keeping them supervised with phone monitoring apps like mSpy, scheduling tasks,

Managing financial accounts.

Communication and Beyond

Though the initial purpose of creating portable phones as to keep people connected on the go, the smart phones have certainly jumped the wall to a whole new space of possibility. It is true that there are no hover cars flying around the streets yet, but smart phones literally brought the future today. Every single day, this marvelous sector of technology is setting a benchmark, only to break it the next day with a newer, improver one. Americans, as one of the most attracted people to new technologies, have embraced the culture of smart phones and the every update of it. Their immense appreciations have certainly inspired the makers to come forward with breakthrough and cutting edge ideas. The love and devotion towards the uprising of smart phones’ usage in almost every stage of life for Americans are quite unmatched. This is one of the reasons that there is always a pretty nerve-wrecking competition going on among the smart phone manufacturers only to bring out the most outstanding performance, and futuristic as well!
